The first project to be funded by NextGen UNICEF Italia will be the INNOVATION LABs in Lebanon, as part of the Generation of Innovation Leaders (GIL) Programme.

This is a project that opens and decentralizes the accessibility of resources and knowledge related to innovation, technology and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) to vulnerable Syrian and Palestinian refugees, and Lebanese teens, even the ones living in the most remote and outcast areas.

By attending the courses, meetings and events offered by the Labs, these young people have the opportunity to discover latent competencies, fulfil their potential and network with like-minded individuals. Through this, they can develop their digital and entrepreneurial skills. The Labs are a space, both in the literal and figurative sense, to express themselves, experiment, innovate, create and think differently.

A space that allows these young people to believe again in their future and become the driving force of change in their country.
